My kids love staying in hotels, so when we recently had the chance to check out a fun lifestyle hotel in Orange County called Hotel Irvine, we jumped on the opportunity. Hotel Irvine is located just off the 405 freeway on Jamboree Road and is close to everything Orange County has to offer. They have a unique club lounge called Club 12, and you can easily add access on to any room reservation.
The rooms at Hotel Irvine are spacious and modern and connecting rooms are available for families. The mini-bar and refrigerator come empty, so you can stock them with whatever you want from the large marketplace in the lobby. There is also a large bar area called Red Bar that was quite lively on a Saturday night, DJ and all!
The pool area at Hotel Irvine is gorgeous and lush, surrounded by palm trees and birds of paradise. There are cabanas available for rent and a pool cafe offers up refreshing cocktails and snacks. During the warmer summer months, there are even fun outdoor activities like family movie nights on the lawn.
Hotel Irvine also features a fun lawn chess area as well as a fire pit that hosts Saturday night Sommelier-led wine tastings. The hotel is within close proximity to the Irvine Spectrum and is about 15 miles from Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. Newport Beach is less than 10 miles away too!
You can start your day in Club 12 with complimentary breakfast and coffee and wind down in the afternoon with a happy hour featuring beer, wine and small bites. There are 2 computers and printers available for use in Club 12 as well. The views from the wraparound deck are gorgeous on sunny days like when we were there!
Finally, when visiting Hotel Irvine, you cannot miss dining at their EATS Kitchen & Bar. We were lucky enough to try both dinner and brunch there and both were phenomenal! The bottomless mimosa bar during the weekend brunch was the best I’ve ever experienced with 4 purees, 6 juices and 3 types of berries to garnish with…all for only $14!
