April has arrived and it’s definitely feeling like spring around here! The unusually rainy weather here in San Diego seems to have finally subsided thank goodness. I just received my Stitch Fix April 2017 box and there were some fun and colorful spring items inside! Read on to find out more about what I received…
41Hawthorn Carla Crochet Detail Blouse
& Liverpool Nik Skinny Jean
The 41Hawthorn Carla Crochet Detail Blouse (priced at $58) & Liverpool Nik Skinny Jean (priced at $78) both caught my eye right out of the box. I love the bright colors and really want to incorporate more color into my mostly gray and navy wardrobe! However, I’m still working on embracing a couple of other pairs of colored jeans so I’m not ready for these just yet, plus they were tad snug. I also find that when I keep floral print tops, they hardly ever get worn, so I hesitatingly sent both the top and jeans back.
Pixley Eileen Honeycomb Texture Knit Tank
When I first saw the Pixley Eileen Honeycomb Texture Knit Tank, I thought for sure it was a keeper. Priced at $54, it seemed worth the money as it was high-quality fabric and I loved the colors and print (see there’s my love for navy shining through). It is unfortunately a high-low top though and I somewhat despise those, plus it was a just a bit to flowy on the bottom half. So, this top was sent packing as well.
Skies are Blue Eriane Cold Shoulder Knit Top
The Skies are Blue Eriane Cold Shoulder Knit Top (priced at $48) was the one thing in my Stitch Fix April 2017 box that I knew right away I wouldn’t be keeping. I still tried it on of course, but my opinion didn’t change. It just didn’t fit me right with the high waistline and relatively short length. I would love to embrace the cold shoulder trend, but this isn’t the top for me to do that with.
Toms Stella Peep Toe Wedge
Well, I’m a wedge addict and I love navy, so you can probably guess what happened with these Toms Stella Peep Toe Wedges? Total keeper! Priced at $79, these simple, comfortable and cute shoes will work perfectly with most of my wardrobe this spring and summer. Although they were a bit snug at first, after wearing them around my house all weekend they loosened up just enough to ensure me that I made the right decision!
