Can you believe we’re already a month in to 2017?! If you set any resolutions for this year, are you still sticking to them? I personally am not big on resolutions, but instead try to find a few easy ways to live healthier each year. For 2017, my focus is on 3 simple tasks: drink more water, take vitamins and always have healthy snacks nearby.

1. Drink More Water

I don’t prefer to quantify things as I feel like it puts too much pressure on me. So, instead of telling myself to drink ‘x’ ounces of water each day, I’m simply trying to drink more than before. I keep my water bottle next to me at all times and bring it everywhere I go. If I get hungry, I always drink some water first, and I’m also trying to pair water with every meal (even if with another beverage).

2. Take Vitamins and Probiotics

I recently started taking new multivitamins and probiotics and want to continue as I feel that my energy level and mood have improved drastically. All I’m trying to accomplish here is to remember to actually take them every day! No pressure if I forget, but I do leave them front and center on my kitchen counter so forgetting is nearly impossible. I even bring them along when I travel so that I can stay consistent.

3. Always Have Healthy Snacks Nearby

I try to eat healthy snacks between meals, but every now and then I get stuck somewhere for longer than planned without a snack nearby. Often times that leads me to a drive through or to devour whatever is in my path that’s edible, which is often not healthy food! So, I’m keeping my car and purse stocked with healthy snacks like almonds and protein bars.

Some of my fave new choices for on-the-go snacking are Special K Protein Bars and Special K Nourish Bites from Kellogg’s.   1. Healthy snacks are such a great idea. I try to buy a new set of snacks on Sunday, to keep in my office for the week. When I don’t have them nearby, I run the risk of making a quick trip for some junk food at the mini mart by my office. I will definitely be adding Special K snacks to my shopping list for next week’s lunches!
