Stitch Fix Review May 2016

Stitch Fix Review May 2016 - BRIXON IVY Willard Lace Overlay Blouse and Seychelles Scenic Ankle Strap Heel #fashion #style #stitchfix

It’s time for another Stitch Fix review! Here’s a breakdown of what I received in my May 2016 Stitch Fix box:

Brixon Ivy Willard Lace Overlay Blouse

Stitch Fix Review May 2016 - BRIXON IVY Willard Lace Overlay Blouse and Seychelles Scenic Ankle Strap Heel #fashion #style #stitchfix

I love, love, love the bright blue color of this Brixon Ivy Willard Lace Overlay Blouse. I actually really loved the blouse all around, it fit great and was very comfy with a bit of stretch to it. The contrasting black back was a fun touch too. For some reason I decided to send it back, perhaps partially due to the $54 price tag and feeling like I was more in need of casual tops to wear day-to-day with the kiddos. I might regret this one!

Seychelles Scenic Ankle Strap Heel

Again, I’m loving this shade of blue on the Seychelles Scenic Ankle Strap Heel. I only wish these were wedges or perhaps a tad bit more comfy for the $100 price tag. The color was spot on for me, but these shoes just didn’t wow me enough in the comfort department for me to keep them.

41Hawthorn Kassidy Faux Wrap Dress

Stitch Fix Review May 2016 - 41Hawthorn Kassidy Faux Wrap Dress #fashion #style #stitchfix

The 41Hawthorn Kassidy Faux Wrap Dress was super comfy, another great spring color and my husband loved it. Priced at just $68 it was a great deal too! My only hangup? The whole faux wrap thing doesn’t tend to cooperate with my chest. Boo. Even while taking photos I was finding myself readjusting constantly and I’m not one for high maintenance clothing. So, much to my dismay, it was sent back.

Brixon Ivy Rolfe Knit Back Top

Finally, something I had no excuse not to keep. The Brixon Ivy Rolfe Knit Back Top was a bit out of character for me, in fact I’m not sure I own a single floral piece of clothing. That’s part of what drew me to it. I like subscribing to Stitch Fix as it sometimes forces me out of my comfort zone and this top did that, but in a minor way. It fit great, had a dark navy base and back (hello comfort zone!) and was very comfortable. At $54, I decided I’d put my $20 credit towards this blouse since it really ended up only being $34!

Stitch Fix Review May 2016 - BRIXON IVY Rolfe Knit Back Top and Liverpool Dorian 4-way Stretch Straight Leg Jean #fashion #style #stitchfix

Liverpool Dorian 4-way Stretch Straight Leg Jean

I was so excited to get another pair of Liverpool jeans, even though I totally don’t need any more jeans at this point! They’re always so stretchy and comfy and a perfect fit. Well, these Liverpool Dorian 4-way Stretch Straight Leg Jeans were no exception…except the length! They were like 5 inches too long! I was so bummed as they were super stretchy and otherwise fit so well, not to mention I loved the lighter wash. I actually wrote to Stitch Fix about these as I was rather surprised at the length since their jeans almost always fit my 5’4″ frame perfectly without needing a hem. They were only $88 and I may have kept them had they been the right length, but they weren’t great enough for me to rationalize alterations.

  1. I loved the combination of the cobalt blouse and heals. It looked really classy. Too bad the heels weren’t comfy. I pinned the floral blouse. So Spring!

  2. It’s so interesting, I got those same heels in a previous box and I find them extremely comfortable! (As long as I leave the ankle strap a bit loose). So sorry they didn’t work out for you because the color really is great!
