Affordable Theme Park Fun at Knott’s

Every time our family visits Knott’s Berry Farm, I find myself almost in awe of how it’s such a relatively affordable theme park experience, and still so much fun! The visits are always so nostalgic for me having been visiting since I was a kid myself. It truly is an entertaining adventure for the entire family. Our kids are 3 and 7 and they love everything from Camp Snoopy to the Timber Mountain Log Ride and Snoopy on Ice. My son is starting to enjoy some of the coasters with me as well now that he’s tall enough!

Our most recent visit was during Knott’s Merry Farm, which I don’t think I had ever done before. It was so much fun! The whole park was decorated and they even had snowfall in the Ghost Town area at night. Santa was there, and even on a busy day the wait to see him was shorter than at the mall!

We had some great interactions with Knott’s Berry Farm staff on this recent visit. Everyone there seems genuinely happy to be working at Knott’s. From our waitress at lunch to this ride operator below who photo-bombed my son’s picture, everyone really seemed to be having fun!

We took a quick break from the park at dinnertime and retreated to our room at the Knott’s Hotel next door. We returned after dark to a lit up holiday wonderland. The ghost town area was beautiful, complete with snowfall at regular intervals throughout the night.

We took a nighttime train ride through the park and just had a great time wandering around amongst the much lighter nighttime crowds. The lines were starting to shorten and we were able to get on some of the coasters that were a bit crowded earlier in the day, like my fave Sierra Sidewinder!

Although we did get media passes for this visit, it’s great knowing that our family of four can head to Knott’s Berry Farm virtually any time for just over $40/person. Getting a family into a theme park for well under $200 is a great deal in my mind. Even the Knott’s Season Passes aren’t bad at $81/person. I can think of a few theme parks that cost more than that just for one day!
