Disneyland – Frozen Fun & SoCal Resident Offer!

The entrance to the Frozen Fun area at Disney’s California Adventure

Growing up, my family always went to Disneyland several times a year. We always lived within just a couple of hours drive in Southern California and it was an easy day trip. Some of my best and most vivid memories are with the characters around Disneyland and of the rides, most of which are still there! Now that I have 2 children of my own, it’s so much fun to be able to see Disneyland through their eyes. We’ve taken our son before, but just recently our 2 1/2 year old daughter had her first Disneyland experience. I absolutely had to take her to Frozen Fun at California Adventure since she’s a Frozen junkie. She actually tells people her name is Elsa, but it’s totally not.

Olaf’s Snow Fest

We arrived on a rare rainy SoCal day and grabbed our Fast Passes for Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome in Hollywoodland. We wandered around to check out the rest of the Frozen Fun and unfortunately Olaf’s Snow Fest was closed for play but we still went inside to take a look. How much fun that must be for the kids! We did see Olaf across the way taking photos, but the wait was a little long for my daughter to handle so we instead wandered the rest of the park and returned at our Fast Pass time. She was elated to meet her very favorite people on the planet and was almost stunned that she was really standing in front of Anna & Elsa! Anna & Elsa were very conversational and did a great job of making my daughter feel like they were her best friends, it was a priceless moment! There was also a Frozen Sing-Along being offered, but we kept missing the show times when we were in that area so we decided to skip it to head over to Disneyland for the rest of the afternoon.

Frozen Fun will only be at Disneyland’s California Adventure through May 15th, so if you have a little Frozen fanatic in your family, hurry and check it out before then! If you live in Southern California, you can take advantage of the amazing SoCal Resident Offer going on right now. It’s only $139/person for a 2-day, 1 park per day ticket (and just $39/ticket to upgrade to park hoppers). Keep in mind kiddos under 3 are free at Disney parks!

*I received two single day Disneyland park hopper tickets in exchange for this post.

  1. Hi Jennifer!
I live in Florida, so we visited Disney frequently over the years. I’m kind of sad though…. My youngest daughter, age 11, when I asked her if she wants to go to Disney for Spring Break, said “No Mom, Disney is for babies – I want to ride lots of big roller coasters!”

    Enjoy every minute!!
