Stitch Fix Box #3 – July 2014

Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix July 2014

I just received my third Stitch Fix box and I must say, it just keeps getting better! If you didn’t read my review of last month’s box, check it out here. Although I decided to only keep 2 of the 5 items this month, I was really on the fence about 2 others as well! Here are some photos and details about what I received this month:

Stitch Fix AISHA DECO PENDANT NECKLACE
AISHA DECO PENDANT NECKLACE

The Aisha Deco Pendant necklace is exactly the piece of jewelry I had been looking for lately, so naturally I had to keep this one! It has just the right amount of sparkle without being too bling-y and can add a nice elegant touch to a casual outfit or be worn with a dressier look as well. The price was $38, which I thought was great for a nice necklace. It can be worn long (as shown in all of my pictures below), or you can loop the chain through the top of the pendant a second time and wear it short as well!

KAMILE JERSEY RUCHED DETAIL DRESS

I LOVED the fuchsia color of this Kamile Jersey Ruched Detail Dress and it fit me SO perfectly. It was a tough call on this one. Although I need more bright dresses in my wardrobe, and especially for my upcoming Bahamas cruise, I ultimately decided against this one. I felt that the cut and fit along the top made my chest look even bigger than it already is…and I definitely don’t need any help in that department! I may regret not keeping this one, even looking at the picture I miss it already! The price tag on this dress was $64, pretty good for a dress!

GLORIA COLORBLOCK & ABSTRACT PRINT HI-LO TANK & ODELL CAPRI JEAN

The Gloria Colorblock & Abstract Print Hi-Lo Tank and Odell Capri Jean pictured above were a mixed bag for me. I liked the print and fit of the tank (priced at $48) and thought it was really fun, but the cut along the bottom made it a no-go for me. The Gloria Hi-Lo blouse would be great for someone with narrower hips perhaps, as I felt that the cut really added some width there! The capris were very cute and very comfortable, but I just bought a nearly identical pair on sale at LOFT last week so that was the deciding factor for me. The price was a bit high on them too ($78) considering I paid less than half that for the other capris I just purchased.

Stitch Fix - CAMILLE STRIPED POCKET-FRONT TANK & ODELL CAPRI JEAN
CAMILLE STRIPED POCKET-FRONT TANK & ODELL CAPRI JEAN

The Camille Striped Pocket-Front Tank (pictured with the Odell Capri Jean) was an instant winner for me. I live in tanks during the spring, summer and fall (and most of the winter) here in San Diego, and comfort is key. This tank fit perfect and has the capability of being dressed up with white capris and heels or being worn with jeans and flip-flops. I like versatility! At $44, it was perhaps a bit more than my typical tank top budget, but I liked it so much that I went for it anyway.

If you haven’t given Stitch Fix a try, head on over to their website, fill out your style profile and order your first box! It’s only $20 for each box, and if you end up purchasing any of your 5 items, you get the $20 back in the form of a credit towards your purchase! You can just order boxes as you’d like or sign up for a regular monthly “fix”, no obligation either way. Have fun and stay stylish!

  1. Such a fabulous necklace! I agree on the print of the Gloria tank. I love it! But the bottom would be too much for me as well! Thanks for linking up 🙂

  2. Like you I also have a larger than life bust! so I also wouldn’t have opted for the fuchsia dress. I did like the 2nd tank on you however very unusual looking. You look great in capri’s and the final vest. As a matter of interest we have an online clothing store here in the UK called Pepperberry which is for woman with a large cup. I’m sure they ship internationally should you be interested. From the linky.

  3. Too bad about that weird hemline on the colorblock tank — Stitchfix seems obsessed with hi/low hemlines and they are not always a good thing….. Loved the pink dress – I thought it looked great on you!
